Mike, our visionary leader, arrived in Selsey in 2011 and founded Youth Dream in response to the community's need for youth provision. With a talent for identifying gaps and fostering relationships, he spearheads our strategic development. Mike's dedication earned him a British Empire Medal for his service to the community.

The Bridge Support Centre Manager
Kim Long

Kim Long, stationed at The Bridge Youth Support Centre. Orchestrates daily operations and executes the Youth Provision Strategy 2021-2024 for the Manhood Peninsula. Kim supervises year-round Youth Dream activities, revising policies and safeguarding procedures. Kim also has a Master's in Advanced Applied psychology and delivers regular mentorship for young people.

Robbie, who covers the wider Manhood Peninsula, holds a Bachelor's in Outdoor and Adventure Education from the University of Chichester, Robbie contributes to local schools through lunch visits, mentoring, and the planning and delivery of diverse activities, including implementing our 2021-2024 strategy.

Paul, with over 25 years of counselling experience in diverse settings, Paul is a dedicated member of The Bridge team. His nurturing spirit has positively impacted countless young lives. Paul holds an Advanced Diploma in Counseling, a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Studies (Counselling Supervision), a Level 4 City & Guilds Teaching Certificate, and a Counselling Certificate specialising in Children, Young People, Adolescents, and Families.

Lilly Almey, located at The Bridge Youth Support Centre. A certified humanistic Counsellor, BACP member, dedicated to children and youth. After earning her Counselling degree from the University of Chichester, Lilly joined Youth Dream in 2019, focusing on tailored one-to-one counselling and group interventions. With a deep passion for supporting young individuals, Lilly offers counselling services for ages 5-16.

Danielle, a dedicated Selsey community youth worker, brings education and adolescent mental health support expertise. She specialises in aiding youth with social, emotional, and mental health needs, actively contributing to our "2021-2024 strategy" through school visits, mentoring, and after-school activities planning.

Activities Co-Ordinator

Tegan Long

Tegan is a Level 3 qualified Youth Worker, who is embarking on a degree in Sociology and Criminology, at the University of Chichester. She works part time for Youth Dream supporting the Youth Workers with social media, publicity and activities and is a lead at Selsey Youth Club and the Holiday activities. Tegan uses her arts and crafts skills to provide activities for young people, as well as using her experience from being a Teaching Assistant at a local secondary school to reach and support young people.

Jackie is out youth officer with 38 years of invaluable experience. Jackie’s educational journey commenced after graduating from W.S.I.H.E. (now known as the University of Chichester) with a Bachelor of Education (Hons) in Physical Education. Her career began as a Physical Education teacher, and over the years, she ascended the professional ladder, ultimately attaining the prestigious position of Deputy Head at The Academy, where she devoted 23 years of her expertise.

In 2019, Jackie brought her wealth of knowledge and unwavering passion for education to Youth Dream. Here, she collaborates with families, offering vital support to enhance their children's school attendance. Jackie's commitment transcends the confines of the classroom, as she possesses a profound interest in engaging with young individuals, empowering them to unlock their full potential in both education and leisure.

Dee Plum

Dee, a professional with 30 years of experience in school settings, spanning in-house and Local Authority roles. Armed with A Level education and a background in the Civil Service, Dee's journey included 12 years abroad. Upon her return, she dedicated herself to education, becoming an advocate for youth and families. Over 30 years, she served in schools and West Sussex County Council as an Education Welfare Officer. After retiring in 2019, Youth Dream enlisted Dee's expertise to enhance Peninsula families' support and attendance. Part-time on Mondays and Thursdays during term, Dee continues her mission.

Youth Worker - Creative Outreach

A dynamic asset to our mental health charity team. Armed with a Higher National Diploma in audio-visual studies specialising in media, filmmaking, and production, Mark offers a rich blend of creative skills. His qualifications in theatre studies and art further amplify his expertise. Mark's background includes working in secure children's homes, where he utilised his artistic, musical, and writing talents to engage and support young individuals. His diverse abilities span sculpture design, illustrations, creative writing, and junk sculpture, reflecting his dedication to using creativity for healing and expression in mental health support. Mark also leads workshops in senior schools, aligning with the core values of Youth Dream activities.

Assistant Youth Worker

A compassionate Bournemouth University psychology graduate, Ella brings valuable experience from volunteering roles. As a research assistant, she explored modern perceptions on social media and dating. Additionally, she provided crucial support as a helpline listener for sexual abuse victims. At our charity, Ella supports the delivery Wittering Youth Force youth club and initiatives to improve school attendance across the Manhood Peninsula. Her empathy, active listening skills, and research background make her an asset in supporting local youth's mental well-being.

Youth Support Administrator

Ellie Herbert

Ellie Herbert brings her passion for supporting young people to our mental health charity as a Youth Support Administrator. With a background in healthcare, having previously worked as a Phlebotomist in a London GP practice, Ellie now provides crucial administrative support to our Youth Dream team. She plays a key role in the delivery of our LINK program, which assists young people in mainstream education by offering in-class support to enhance engagement. Additionally, Ellie helps run the Lunch Club at the Academy Selsey. Her diverse experience and dedication make her an invaluable asset in our mission to improve youth mental health and educational outcomes.

Youth Inclusion Officer

Millie Holden

Millie brings a unique perspective to Youth Dream, drawing from her background in neurodiversity and mainstream education. She holds a Level 3 qualification in Teaching and Learning Support, complemented by specialised training in Lego Therapy.
As our Youth Inclusion Officer, Millie provides one-to-one support for students facing challenges in mainstream education. She creates a positive learning environment that fosters creativity, relationship building, and personal growth, helping students overcome barriers to achieve their potential.
Motivated by her own experiences as a student with special educational needs, Millie is passionate about empowering children and young people in our community.
